The radiofrequency (RF) and cryoablation systems are used to form scars in the heart tissue. The LAA surgical devices or sutures are used to close a muscular pouch in the left atrium of your heart. This pouch is called the left atrial appendage (LAA). Possible problems during this procedure may result in tearing of the LAA and cause bleeding.
