Lesion Set Options

Radiofrequency and cryoablation are the two ablative technologies that have prevailed over the past decade to treat nPAF. The following lesion sets are routinely used today, each with varying degrees of success:

• Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI) and Left Atrial Appendage Management (LAAM)
• Box Lesion Set (BOX) and LAAM
• Left Atrial Lesion Set (LAL) and LAAM
• Bi-Atrial Lesion Set (Maze IV)
